How to Get Started
Contact us to request drilling services for your project. A member of our team will review your inquiry and follow up to gather any additional information needed to prepare an estimate or proposal.
To help us provide an accurate proposal, please share as many project details as possible, including:
- Project location
- Drilling scope, number of borings, and sampling requirements
- Anticipated site access conditions (photos are helpful)
Once we have complete information, proposals are generally issued within a few business days.
When our proposal is accepted and the project is ready to move forward, drilling services are typically scheduled within 3–4 weeks, depending on crew availability and project location.
As the scheduled date approaches, we will coordinate with you on utility pre-marking. The site must be pre-marked according to our marking protocol before we can arrange DigSafe and any necessary private utility location services.
Frequently Asked Questions
Before we arrive on site, it’s important to identify underground utilities. On developed sites, a private utility location service is required. We can coordinate this service, or the client may arrange it directly.
When selecting boring locations, look up and look around for potential safety hazards. Avoid placing borings beneath power lines and review existing DigSafe markings to help identify safe drilling areas.
Project location and accessibility are key factors. Mobilization may take longer, and costs can increase if the site is difficult to access.
– Confirm all required permits and contracts are completed before the scheduled start date to avoid delays.
– Provide clear site access details and identify safe equipment unloading areas.
– Let us know whether a track rig is required or if a truck-mounted rig can access the borings.
Seaboard Drilling operates year‑round, but winter conditions may require schedule adjustments. Snow and ice can limit the visibility of DigSafe marks, restrict access to the site, and create challenges for safely parking trucks and trailers. Good communication is key to keeping projects on track through the winter months.
