Drilling Apprentice – Springfield

Start building a career in geotechnical and environmental drilling. Learn hands-on skills in the field while working with experienced drill crews. We’re currently hiring a full-time, entry-level Drilling Apprentice to join our team in Springfield, Massachusetts.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with experienced drillers and crew members as part of a field team
• Assist an experienced driller with test boring operations
• Collect soil and rock samples
• Measure water levels
• Assist with monitoring well and instrumentation installation
• Carry and handle drilling tools and supplies
• Support the operation and basic maintenance of drill rigs, trucks, trailers, and ATVs

What You Need

• Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds
• Valid driver’s license required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (we are not able to sponsor employment visas at this time)

Work Schedule & Environment

• Work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather and site conditions
• Position requires regular travel to project sites throughout New England, including both short-term and weeklong assignments, with overnight stays on some weekdays
• Full-time position, primarily Monday-Friday work
• Occasional night work
