We at Seaboard Drilling, LLC can uniquely and proactively manage projects with our in-house staff by working with our clients on the approach, cost, safety and technical aspects of their projects. Supported by well-maintained equipment and proven experience, our team is trained and focused on the safe operation of drilling rigs. In addition, each employee participates in regular training, certifications, and continuing education programs.

Kevin Hanscom

Kevin is a Drilling Operations Manager based in the Bangor, Maine office of Seaboard Drilling LLC. Seaboard Drilling LLC provides test boring exploration services and operates throughout New England from offices in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Kevin held a Class B license while working as a delivery driver for a building supply company in high school, and was familiar with drilling through his uncle’s well drilling business. He earned an A.S. in civil engineering technology and a B.S. in construction management technology.

In 1991 he joined S.W. Cole Engineering, Inc. and for 24 years worked primarily as a Geotechnical Engineer, managing and providing subsurface investigations, geotechnical design, pavement management, and geotechnical specifications.

In 2015 Kevin was the catalyst and did much of the groundwork for S. W. Cole Engineering, Inc. to launch a test boring explorations company, and he served as General Manager and Driller during the company’s first years. In 2023, the subsidiary merged with Seaboard Drilling and the company became Seaboard Drilling, LLC.

Beginning in 2020, Kevin served as a Driller specializing in all forms of rotary drilling, and he established our Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT) capabilities.  Now, as Drilling Operations Manager, Kevin is responsible for managing projects, drill schedules, and personnel for our Bangor, Maine, and Somersworth, New Hampshire offices.

Michael Glynn

Michael is a Drilling Operations Manager based in the Springfield, Massachusetts office of Seaboard Drilling LLC. Mike started at Seaboard Drilling in 1999 as a Drilling Assistant and was promoted to Driller in 2003. In 2023, after the merger of S.W.COLE Explorations with Seaboard Drilling, Mike was promoted to Drilling Operations Manager. In this role, he manages projects, drill schedules and personnel for our Springfield, Massachusetts and Riverside, Rhode Island locations.

Employee Highlight: Josh Chamberlain

Josh Chamberlain, an Equipment Mechanic in Bangor, Maine, brought over 20 years of fabrication experience and his creativity to the Seaboard Drilling Team when he joined in December of 2022. Alec Hills

Alec Hills serves as a Drilling Services Coordinator for Seaboard Drilling and is based out of our Springfield, Massachusetts office. His responsibilities include coordinating utility clearance, locating explorations, and supporting our drill crews and equipment mechanics. He has an undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts – Amherst. He joined Seaboard Drilling as a Drilling Assistant in October 2023 and was promoted to Drilling Services Coordinator in January 2024.

Dylan Knowles

Dylan Knowles is a Drilling Services Coordinator based out of our Bangor, Maine office. Dylan joined our team as a Drilling Assistant in October 2021 and has a CDL-A driving license. He has been a valuable part of our team, providing high-quality drilling services even in the most challenging conditions and locations. In addition to working full time, Dylan has been studying for a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Southern New Hampshire University. He has shown his commitment to professional growth by participating in our internal leadership development program.
